Privacy Policy
Children and the site
Step into Dance, Royal Academy of Dance and the Jack Petchey Foundation, wish to ensure that children who visit the Step into Dance website are able to do so in a safe environment. We are committed to protecting your child’s online privacy when visiting any web site that they operate. We do not collect any personal information from online visitors unless it is volunteered and ask all children under the age of 16 to seek permission from a parent or guardian before using the site.
The Privacy Policy outlines how Step into Dance collects information about you / your child and how the information will be used. By contacting us through the site, you are agreeing with the RAD’s Privacy Policy.
Surf the web safely
- Stay safe. Never give out personal information about yourself or your family without asking a parent or guardian first. For example, instead of using your real name in a chat room, why not think up a nickname to use.
- Make sure you get permission from your parent/guardian before using the Internet. Remember they pay the bill!
- Always stay away from sites that are meant for adults. Sites will tell you if you need to be over 18 years old to enter. These warnings are put in place to protect you. If you are unsure ask your parent/guardian.
- Remember to be careful with any email attachments or links that people send you, they might contain nasty images, or computer "viruses" that could ruin your PC. So if you don't know who it's from, don't open it!
- Talk to your parents/guardians. Tell your parents if you see anything you don't like. Let them know what you are doing online, whether it's homework or fun.
